Swapped my old tote for this on a weekend trip and the carabiner flap stayed put the whole time. The internal laptop pocket is padded enough that I stopped worrying about my 14-inch sliding around. Only thing I'd change is wishing the strap had a bit more padding, but it's fine for short carries.
